Scott Jackelen, Agent

 

Scott purchased his first investment property (a duplex in Minneapolis) in 2016 and has been an active real estate investor ever since. Scott currently owns 18 market rate apartments including a mixed use building in the Uptown area of Minneapolis, an apartment building in New Prague and a vacation rental in the Alexandria area in west central Minnesota.  After learning the ropes through first hand experience, Scott transitioned to work as a multi-family real estate agent in 2017, focusing on solving problems for sellers and negotiating hassle-free off-market transactions. Scott is active in the local multi-family investor community and enjoys connecting with new and experienced investors.

 

Scott's background is in small business ownership and he is a lifelong entrepreneur. In fact, when just 15 years old, Scott rented a small corner of a sporting goods store and opened his own baseball card shop, running it on nights and weekends until he graduated high school. From 1997 to 2008 Scott ran a water damage restoration company, eventually selling the company in 2009 and transitioning to the e-commerce space, building a business from scratch to $500k in annual sales. Scott enjoys working with other small business owners and investors to clearly define their real estate needs and take action on that plan.

 

Scott attended St. John’s University from 1991 to 1995, majoring in History. He lives in Shakopee with his wife, newborn daughter and three rescue dogs.
